PAPA ROACH Frontman To Host MTV Series 'Scarred'

March 20, 2007

PAPA ROACH started off 2007 with a bang by debuting their new single, "Forever", on "The Tonight Show with Jay Leno". Now, within a matter of weeks the band has their seventh Top 10 hit, with "Forever" reaching #8 this week on the Active Rock chart.

"We're really pumped about the success 'Forever' is having," commented lead singer Jacoby Shaddix. "We truly believe our new album 'The Paramour Sessions' is our strongest work to date. It's killer to see the first two singles from it go Top 10.”

"Forever" is not only ruling on the mainstream rock chart, it's also flying high on the modern rock chart (#12) and is now crossing over to Top 40 much like the band's last smash hit: "Scars". PAPA ROACH's latest album "The Paramour Sessions" is the band's fourth consecutive album to debut Top 20 on the Billboard album chart.

Meanwhile, Jacoby has become the host of the forthcoming MTV series "Scarred" which will begin its run on MTV in April. Everyone has seen them… the user-generated clips watched by countless people on the Web, or passed around rampant between friends. But no one knows who the people are in the videos, or the stories behind them — until now, with MTV's "Scarred". Every scar has a story, and for the first time the people behind some of the Web's most popular videos get to share their stories firsthand.

PAPA ROACH will be on tour through out April and May performing at several radio festivals on the east coast as well as a string of dates with HINDER.

Since the release of their major label debut album back in 2000, PAPA ROACH have released three albums: "Infest", "Lovehatetragedy", and "Getting Away with Murder" selling over 10 million copies of those titles combined. The band has now scored nine consecutive hit singles on the charts and now seven Top 10s, including "Broken Home", "She Loves Me Not", "Last Resort", "Getting Away with Murder", "Scars", "…To Be Loved" and "Forever". With the high debuts of all four of the band's albums, PAPA ROACH are firmly establishing themselves as one of the undeniable success stories of the last decade.
